Evocative details from Indonesian fishermen’s boat.

Painting the hull of a boat is a delicate process: you have to consider that the boat must resists to sunlight and water (whether it is sweet or salty) and you have to follow the peculiarity of wood and its veins in order to preserve it from deteriorating, loss of colour and darkening.

However, boats live in water, every day without pauses and undergo the natural effects of the water world which surround them, and which is out of control of everyone and everything.

For this reason, also simple red, orange, blue or white stripes on the keel of an Indonesian fishermen’s boat are brought to life whose details make them and autonomous and openly interpretable artwork.
